Job Summary

We are seeking a Cafeteria Manager to join our team! As a Cafeteria Manager, you will be working in the cafeteria each day to prepare the food portions, set food out for students, and assist students as needed with service. The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for management and administration of the food service operation at Nazareth Elementary. This includes breakfast and lunch meals. The Cafeteria Manager develops monthly menus, orders food items/supplies and maintains accurate, required records. Additionally, one must observe all Child Nutrition Program and Health Department regulations,. and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working on your feet for long stretches of time.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and portioning food for the cafeteria

Restock food and cafeteria items as needed

Maintain a clean work environment at all times

Follow all food safety guidelines

Ability to maintain hard copy and electronic files of all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills

Familiarity with best practices when it comes to food safety

Possess required certification and training

The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
