HR: Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our HR team and the bigger NNM community this fall. This is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day administration of payroll and benefit plans for the school. This person will also provide support for recruitment and hiring, and general employee service and engagement.
_The typical schedule for this role is: _MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM TO 5PM. Duties to be performed in person within a school office. While this position works over a full year (including summer break) there is a generous amount of time off provided over the school holidays
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefits and Payroll Administration:
Manage the school's established payroll process and systems, including: enter approved updates to the HRIS system and employee records, work with accounting staff to input payroll data based on the school's pay calendar, check pre-process reports for validation of payroll, secure approval of final payroll from Controller and HR Director.
Manage the HRIS system, understanding how each module works and connects to others, ensure users have access to their accounts and understand how to find information, contact system representatives to get support on issues that arise
Assist with the development and administration of benefit plans available to employees - attend annual meetings to prepare for open enrollment, provide ideas for new benefits, support any testing, audit and all other benefits related practices as needed
Support employees to setup and maintain their personnel file in the school's systems; select, use and understand their benefits; confirm and process employee level changes to payroll and benefits
Present benefit plans and information to new hires and other current employees in groups or 1-on-1 as necessary; ensure all notices and plan updates are provided to and available to all employees
Provide day to day support to employees on all payroll and benefit matters
Works as the main point of contact for all payroll and benefit vendors and plans, providing information and troubleshooting as needed
Other HR Support and Employee Engagement
Assist in the development, implementation and on-going maintenance of human resources related policies and procedures, department goals, objectives, and systems
Work closely with the school leaders and employees to attract and retain excellent faculty and staff members, build relationships between individuals and departments, and maintain a strong culture with an emphasis on equity and inclusion
Help attract strong, diverse, mission-aligned candidates by working with the leadership and hiring teams to create clear job postings, publish them to various sites to reach candidates

Additional Information
Salary will be based on experience, within a range of of $50,000 - 70,000; comprehensive benefits package available with a generous amount of paid time off.
