    About the Store Visual Specialist 

    The Visual Merchandising Associate will join us at our new location on South Congress in Austin, Texas. As our hosts and storytellers, Visual Merchandising Associates are primarily focused on delivering the visual impact of the store.  We're looking for friendly, energetic, and professional team players who are eager to contribute to a growing Neighborhood Goods community.

    What You'll Do

    • Own the visual impact of the store by following, interpreting and executing Visual directives while remaining consistent with weekly, monthly and seasonal brand & store direction. 
    • Maintain visual standards, including merchandise presentation, signage, fixtures and general maintenance. 
    • Able to move brands and fixtures around store independently
    • Guides product placement and outfitting that is reflective of trend, reinforces brand messaging, and inspires the customer
    • Partners with the Visual Director and Store General Manager to ensure appropriate support and effective scheduling for visual priorities and preparations for brand entries and exits
    • Maintain clear & timely communications with home office Visual team and Store Manager
    • Responsible for the care and maintenance of display materials and that visual area is kept clean and organized
    • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
    • Ability to climb ladders, lift medium to large items, up to 50 lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

    • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
    • High-level leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, including strength in presentation skills.
    • Comfortable and confident in making effective and autonomous merchandising decisions in a timely manner
    • Able to work independently while still working within a team environment
    • Must be able to work with hand-and-power operated tools and lift in order to execute display setups
    • Excited to be an integral part of a fast-paced, growing start-up
    • Eager to work in a fun, dynamic environment unlike anything else in traditional retail
    • Innovative, proactive, and entrepreneurial
    • Positive, high energy, and eager to learn
    • Articulate with strong communication skills
    • A quick and effective problem-solver with strong organizational and time management skills
    • Experienced with customers and great at serving them
    • Able to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
    • Possess basic math and financial skills
    • Preferably experienced with basic graphic design programs and google suite.
    • Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours at times
    • May be required to travel to support other stores
