    Job Description

    Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore (NHS) is a well-established non-profit organization with a team oriented work environment. We are looking for a Part-Time Community Loan Center Sales Representative to join our growing team in Baltimore, Maryland.

    The Center Loan Center Sales Representative (CLCSR) will play a major role in growing the number of CLC loans, borrower pool and registered employees by marketing and educating businesses and organizations about the Small Dollar Lending Program. The CLCSR will spend the majority of their time, energy, and efforts recruiting organizations and businesses to partner with NHS of Baltimore’s Community Loan Center to offer the Small Dollar Lending Program as a benefit to their employees.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify and create employer profiles for marketing and participation in the Small Dollar Lending Program
    • Manage and maintain database of employers throughout the Baltimore region with potential opportunity to benefit from employee participation in the CLC program
    • Develop and maintain relationships with employers. Provide memorandum of understanding businesses participating and offering Small Dollar Lending Program benefits to employees and obtain authorized signatures from employer
    • Deliver training and education presentations. Recruit and train employers on how to market and implement program to employees and set up payroll deductions
    • Compile and send appropriate communications to stakeholders, clients, customers, and team members
    • Attend all meetings as appropriate to position and market CLC Program
    • Track and measure success with employer participation, loans applications, number of loans approved, funded, and repayment of loans
    • Compile and provide weekly loan activity reports
    • Educate and offer Financial literacy and Financial Coaching opportunities to employers and employees participating in CLC program
    • Maintain complete and accurate records of recruiting contacts, lending activities and status of loans
    • Manage customer concerns and take appropriate action to resolve problems. Maintain accurate records of customer complaints and resolutions
    • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers with delinquent loans
    • Continuously monitor evaluate impact and success of CLC Program
    • Attend training sessions as required by management and CLC Program guidelines
    • Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned
    • Work collaboratively with other team members and assist with activities benefiting the CLC program and organization

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Minimum of three (3) years of sales and/or marketing experience. Experience in financial services, financial coaching, human resources, or social work is highly preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to effectively communicate up, down and across the organization
    • Strong presentation and delivery skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and delivery presentation
    • Exceptional public speaking skills. Ability to adapt and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
    • Strong judgment and decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion with confidential information and sensitive matters
    • Team player with ability to work effectively as an independent contributor
    • Ability to travel within Baltimore area to deliver training, education and presentations
    • Bilingual and/or multilingual is a plus
    • Basic knowledge and experience using social media platforms
    • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of staff with internal and external clients
    • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of cultural differences. Ability to work successfully with a variety of individuals with different background, experiences, behaviors, and practices that enable organizations to work effectively and cross culturally

    EDUCATION REQUIRED

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent. College degree or additional education is a plus

    TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar software
    • Experience using customer tracking software is a plus

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job requires travel and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, office phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.
