    Job Description

    • Support the Student Success and External Relations team with complex and high-level administrative duties. • Provides communication leadership through writing, editing and proofreading collateral material for print, digital, and social media platforms that target internal and external audiences. • Management and maintenance of the organizational unit’s publications and related unit collateral material. • Develops and executes marketing plans of organization’s programs and initiatives to internal and external communities. • Facilitates, monitors, and tracks small grant and vendor contracts by gathering data and ensuring deliverables outlined in contract scope of work are met. • Liaise between the department, contract vendors and various Chancellor’s Office departments • Works with CSU faculty, staff and management, corporate executives, clergy, community leaders, campus presidents and other executives as needed. • Manages contact databases and communications through Outlook, Share Point, Mail Chimp and other applications. • Provides coordination for CSU initiatives that reach traditionally underserved student populations • Supports small grants program by gathering data, preparing communications, and reports. • Initiates, composes, and prepares clear and concise correspondence. • Other duties as assigned.

     

    • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and related experience, involving program support and project management. • Possession of excellent interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive interpersonal situations. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and consistently produce top quality and a high volume of work with minimal supervision. • Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. • Ability to problem solve common and unique issues using reasoning and sound judgment and to develop practical, thorough and creative solutions. • Thorough mastery of the English grammar, punctuation and spelling with the ability to compose clear, concise and complete written communications. • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist. • Familiarity with digital media and web analytics. • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software and the ability to create, manage and control database on the PC systems, including mail merge.
