    Job Description

    We are actively hiring Customer/Member Service Representatives for our client, a Federal Credit Union, located in Hollywood, near Burbank. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work in their office 2 days a week and then from your home via remote, 3 days. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is outgoing, with a friendly personality and a strong desire to deliver Best In Service customer care. Although previous experience with a credit union is definitely a plus, customer service professionals from other industries who demonstratively have a great phone demeanor, empathy and good personality will also be considered. This means for those looking to break out of Retail, Fast-Food or other, similar job types, this COULD be a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a brand new industry.

    Even though this role is hybrid, we are looking for candidates who live relatively local to the Hollywood/Burbank areas. WHAT ARE THE BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE?

    • Supports practices and maintains established department services standards and goals.
    • Accurately present information and performs tasks associated with processing members request for transactions, opening and closing various account types offered by the credit union. Ensures these task all performed by following policies and procedures.
    • Accurately present information by analyzing, troubleshooting and finding solutions with every member interaction (phone, live chat, and secured messaging).
    • Actively identify opportunities and needs to effectively cross-sell products and services that meet member needs.
    • Accurately perform monetary and file maintenance transactions, such transfers, withdrawals, payments, advances, and account record changes.
    • Perform clerical or administrative tasks that support the operation of the department. Promptly and accurately complete required reports and required recordings.
    • Keep Manager informed of area activities and significant problems.
    • Overtime hours may be required from time to time

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

    • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some previous work-related experience or related college degree preferred.
    • Two years' experience as a multi-skilled Financial Service Representative and/or Member Service Representative at a full-service financial institution or experience in a related position in a related field.
    • Possess good customer service and sales skills and have a strong desire to deliver total member satisfaction.
    • Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to read, speak and write clearly to convey information effectively.
    • Possess good interpersonal skills to communicate and represent the Credit Union positively with members, co-workers and management. A significant level of trust and diplomacy required, in addition to courtesy and tact.
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusion or approaches to regular and customary problems.
    • Pays close attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving skills to effectively research, investigate, and offer solutions to issues that are relatively simple in nature.
    • Excellent organization, planning, and follow-up skills.
    • Flexible and adaptable to change.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities and/or projects.
    • Solid math skills
