Job Responsibilities:
Communicating with internal and external business partners and executives in a prompt and professional manner
Reviewing, drafting and analyzing purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, confidentiality agreements, vendor contracts, investor materials, and other legal and business documents
Preparing closing instructions and binders for large-scale loans and real estate transactions; general management of the closing process including managing closing checklists and organizing and maintaining closing files
Forming and registering entities in various states and preparing organizational documents and amendments
Reviewing, researching and analyzing property records and title documents
Organizing and maintaining real property and legal documents in a structured and easy-to-access manner, including electronic and paper files, data rooms, etc.
Conducting legal research, preparing legal memorandums and generally being a top contributor on a small yet fully integrated in-house legal team
Job Qualifications
Certified paralegal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the real estate sector
Experience in real property transactions, loans, and contract review is required
Additional experience in corporate governance and entity management is preferred
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work well under pressure; excellent time management skills
Strong work ethic, detail-oriented and outstanding organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Notary Public certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
