    Vice President of Asset Management

    San Clemente, CA

    This Vice President of Asset Management is a dynamic 360 asset management role that reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the firm. The successful candidate will be in charge of formulating and implementing asset management strategies relevant to current market changes and maintain overall operational excellence.

    This can be a remote position, but we prefer for the candidate to be based in California or Utah.

    Main duties and responsibilities include:

    Review capital budgets and long-term goals for existing assets and acquisitions to formulate annual business plans

    Work closely with property management teams to implement business plans

    Manage vendor relationships nationally to obtain best pricing for all services

    Work with Capital Project group to implement renovation and/or rehab plans

    Identify and evaluate opportunities to renovate existing communities, analyzing projected costs, cutting costs and investing in renovations when necessary

    Occasionally conduct property site visits to maintain familiarity with property management and operating team

    Oversee financial analysis of portfolio's operating results, identifying trends, telling a story, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management

    Oversee due diligence on potential acquisitions to the portfolio

    Generate 10-year plans for each asset community

    Our Ideal CandidateThis role is a hands-on, 360 role that calls of professional experienced in Asset Management. In return for a competitive compensation package, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

    Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business or related field, MBA is a plus

    Industry designations a plus; CPM or CCIM

    5+ years experience in asset management, acquisitions, operations of Multifamily properties

    Exposure to high amounts of Student and Multifamily units (4000+ units)

    Proven track record of managing complex portfolios of properties

    High ability to organize and manage complex portfolios of properties

    Proficient in creating and analyzing financial models based on historic data (Excel)

    Operations exposure or knowledge

    Strategic problem-solving experience

    Detail-oriented, high-level communications skills
