Our Inc. 500 Property Management Company is looking for highly-skilled analyst that excels at gathering accurate data and creating strategic growth.
The Asset Management Analyst will primarily support the Asset Management team in maximizing the value of assets through oversight, streamlining processes and analyzing property performance. You will become an integral part of a team and have the opportunity to assume significant responsibility that may include:
Asset Management Functions
Produce and maintain internal reporting regarding the performance of the student housing portfolio
Assist with annual business plans, quarterly reports and quarterly valuations.
Assist with preparation of monthly financial review
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
Communicate with servicers for our existing loans
Handles reserve requests (such as repair reserve, CapEx, etc.) from Property Management and Construction Management
Ensures the maximum percentage of funds that have been escrowed are refunded
Interface with 3rd party vendors, lenders, investors, legal counsels, loan brokers, and other individuals on a regular basis
Put together initial underwriting and analyze potential acquisitions by using Excel cash flow projection models.
Communicate with investment sale brokers to identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities.
Evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for potential acquisitions.
Oversee the preparation of acquisition investment briefs and related support material.
Provide support for acquisition financing.
Assist with dispositions, including compilation and dissemination of due diligence information.
Competencies:
Prefer 1 year of experience in multifamily real estate asset management, property management, acquisitions and/or valuation.
Prefer degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Accounting
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Must maintain a quality work product and meeting required timelines
Some travel may be required to visit assets for inspections, property manager meetings and market tours.
Strong quantitative and computer background
Strong oral and written communication skills
Highly organized
Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team
Develop strong and effective relationships both internally and externally
Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage to aggressive deadlines
