Staff Accountant Nelson Partners Property Management – Provo, UT
A very rapidly growing Inc. 500 real estate investment firm is looking for a Superstar Staff Accountant! Our Provo, UT office needs a go-getter who is high energy, lots of fun, can handle high intensity - extremely-organized and can handle a wide variety of tasks. You will join an accounting team that oversees a growing portfolio of properties - come help us grow!
Job functions and duties
Post, track, and pay bills for student housing apartment complexes
Perform bank reconciliations for property bank accounts
Perform reconciliations between GL accounts and sub-ledgers
Perform monthly and quarterly close of accounting records
Produce compelling and insightful MS Excel reports to illustrate the performance
Collaborate with the Assistant Controller to establish best-practices for the accounting department
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized, and have the ability to solve ambiguous problems. This individual must also be a quick learner and be able to work with various accounting platforms.
Education and experience
Must have previous payables or accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Outlook)
Strong telephone and communications skills
Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting- BA or BS
3 years Experience in Accounting
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment both in a team and individually
Strong technical acumen; must be a quick learner with regards to third-party applications

This is a salaried, full-time position (Monday – Friday). Starting salary range is $50,000 - $60,000, with potential for growth based on performance.
