Job Summary
We are seeking a (Technology Expert) Level 2 technician with some Level 3 skills to join our team. This role will primarily focus on providing advanced technical support, executing managed services tasks, and leading complex projects for our customers, both residential and small businesses. The Advanced Nerd will have the ability to work independently and be capable of managing advanced technical tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Consulting with clients in-store, over the phone, and on-site at their business or residence to provide the solution(s) that best fits their needs.
Assist in all marketing efforts to promote the business
Have a client first mentality and maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude with customers at all times.
Design and implement network infrastructure projects, including LAN, WAN and WiFi solutions.
Perform Data recovery and loss prevention and advanced network installation tasks
Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including user management, security settings and application configuration.
Virus protection and Spyware/Adware removal
Manage and maintain Active Directory and Azure AD environments
PC Hardware and software troubleshooting repair and maintenance
Work with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms and be able to implement and support customer solutions
Computer System repair and upgrades and custom builds
Plan and perform productivity suite migrations with minimal downtime and seamless transition for clients
One-on-one training
Conduct security and risk assessments and recommending and implementing solutions
Utilize PSA (Professional Services Automation) and RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools to monitor, manage and resolve alerts and issues. Manage a daily workload
Perform technical assessments
Assist in daily management of shop and backup the general manager when needed
Collaborate with Level 1 techs and provide guidance and mentorship for junior level technician(s)
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience with Windows-based PCs (Win7, Win8, Win10 and Win11)
Networking in both residential and business environments
Strong IT field service background and customer service skills
Knowledge of Mac hardware and MacOS is a plus
Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair, both hardware and software/OS
Knowledge of network troubleshooting, wiring, PC troubleshooting (ex. Network+, MCSE, etc.)
Proficiency with peer-to-peer and client/server network configurations and troubleshooting
Professional, high-energy, customer-oriented work ethic
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Must be willing to submit to mandatory background check and drug screen
Must be self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
Microsoft 365 administration and migration
Knowledge of managing and installing and configuring Microsoft server OS and Active Directory
Knowledge of Firewall, Router, Switch installation and configuration
Cloud and virtualization knowledge using Hyper-V, VMWare, and other solutions.
Must be able to multitask
Certifications
CompTIA A+ and or Network+, MSCE or any other relevant certifications(preferred)

8-hour work shift
Monday – Friday, and Saturdays by Appointment
Overtime
