Job Description

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional visual design aesthetic, as well as a high curiosity for cross channel design that is on-brand, on-strategy and gets measurable results—across web pages, Facebook and banner ads, social graphics, email, video, print and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn to design for Facebook ads, web and mobile pages, social ads, email
• Design infographics and whimsical illustrations
• Evolve key brand elements, including web and email templates and icon library
• Learn to problem solve through design
• Work with the Content, Marketing and UX teams to concept and define engaging, results-driven creative and multi-channel campaigns that improve our customer experiences 
• Gain understanding of branding and direct marketing principles
• Design and produce occasional offline communications, including packaging
• Help direct photoshoots and coordinate with outside photographers

Qualifications

• Must be a junior, senior or recent graduate from or in an undergraduate or graduate Graphic Design or Visual Arts degree
• Proficient with design software: Photoshop and Illustrator (bonus – InDesign)
• In good academic standing – minimum 3.4 GPA
• Available to work at least 25 hours a week
• A strong design portfolio that reflects creativity and an understanding of basic design principles
• Must be creative, thoughtful and forward-thinking. Must be both an independent worker and a strong team player
• Must be organized, hard-working and able to manage and stick to a schedule

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Strong written communication skills
• Proficient in website design or front end developing
• Experience in photography
• Experience in marketing or a related field through prior internships

Additional Information

• Position begins ASAP
• Position includes a monthly stipend depending on experience/skill level
• Internship will last for the remainder of the semester but can be extended through Fall/Winter, Spring/Summer as well, depending on performance and fit
• If a recent grad, this could be a full-time or part-time position
• Full-time hire post internship is a possibility based on performance
