    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    NetSEA Technologies is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer that enjoys optimizing architectures and providing actionable technical insights on how the Army's network can be leveraged to enhance capabilities on the battlefield. This position supports the Army's Tactical Radio Program, Helicopter and Multi-Mission Radios Division, at Aberdeen Proven Ground, MD. This dynamic team works in one of the most impactful and exciting technology domains affecting battlefield success in the Army.

    CLEARANCE LEVEL: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship possessing Secret clearance or higher.

    LOCATION: Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) on-site

    HOURS: Normal business hours Monday - Friday

    TRAVEL: up to 25% as needed

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Systems Engineer is responsible for the following:

    • Perform a wide range of systems engineering services to ensure the PEO is compliant with program requirements and objectives, interoperability requirements, configuration management requirements and similar Program-Wide responsibilities
    • Participate in the coordination of the systems engineering integrated product team and other technical forums at the PEO and subordinate agency level focusing on software and hardware system engineering.
    • Evaluate and inform new technologies, providing new capabilities, to address technology gaps across the range of PM Tactical Radios products
    • Evaluate requirements and assist in designing lower tactical Internet architecture within the Army's Integrated Tactical Network
    • Analyze and evaluate technical data, including instrumentation data, test-specific calculations, and deficiency reports to ensure valid results or identify weaknesses or failures encountered and probable causes, suggested modification, and design changes
    • Present technical courses of action to government executives and the war-fighter
    • Experience working in a military environment.
    • Operate systems as required with little or no help of developers or other senior technical staff; execute day to day system support for testing as required.
    • Interoperability with various Command, Control, and Communications (C3) systems

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

            MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of five (5) years related experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent required
    • Four (4) years of military service can be substituted/utilized as related experience in lieu of degree.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Attend meetings and take notes/meeting minutes on behalf of PM lead
    • Must understand Army wireless/Radio networks and be able to integrate systems
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects.

                DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Familiarity with satellite communications, SINCGARS, TSM, commercial wireless communications and other MIL-STD communications equipment/waveforms
    • Knowledge on how to run IPTs, significant experience with MS office suite.
    • Experience with Systems of Systems architecture (SOSA) development as well as requirements development and decomposition
    • Experience working in a PM's office at O-5 and/or O-6 level.
    • Experience coordinating with RMD for testing (facilities, hardware, etc.)
