    Detailed Description

    Description: Field service repairs including hardware and on-site support for MacOS laptops, Desktops, iOS devices, and peripherals within Richardson Independent School District. The candidate will also work with the Instructional Technology Department to service and support the technology needs of the District's VIPs. 

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
    • Ability to maintain composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving technical issues.
    • Ability to adhere to a schedule of customer appointments.
    • Help the onsite Apple Engineer resolve JAMF MDM and enterprise software related issues
    • Service repairs on Apple and Windows devices and peripherals including but not limited to iMacs, MacBooks, Apple TVs, PC Desktops, Laptops, & printers as assigned
    • Updating status and work order documents daily in knowledge base and ticketing solution
    • Mentor, support, and lead team in implementing and adhering to successful practices
    • Communicating and updating management and customers on repair status
    • Daily travel within the school district is required. Mileage paid.
    • And other responsibilities as assigned by management

    Additional Duties:

    • Diagnosing and repairing equipment for incidents, projects, and programs
    • Assist on any on-site project requested
    • Work area upkeep
    • Continued education of current and future IT practices

    Skills and Experience:

    • 1-2 years Apple device repairs
    • 1-2 years troubleshooting Apple OS issues
    • Familiarity working in JAMF mobile device manager
    • Familiarity troubleshooting printer issues
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
    • Familiarity with Google Workspace (A.K.A. G Suite)
    • Familiarity with Google
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong people skills
    • Good organization skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

    Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • A+ Certification or Apple related certifications (ACMT, ACSP, ACSA, JAMF) certification
    • Customer service experience and professional demeanor
    • Must be able to track and manage multiple issues
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to work without constant supervision
    • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and good driving record
    • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
