JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our North Texas operation. This position will oversee the processes required to achieve the effective and timely distribution of goods.

A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and experience and have a customer-oriented approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
• Ensuring premises, assets, and communications are used effectively
• Utilizing logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and maintain high quality standards
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Effectively communicate and cooperate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

• Take ownership of and efficiently supervise distribution requests and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet operational needs
• Communicate with suppliers and customers to achieve profitability and superior customer satisfaction
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
• Maintain electronic files and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
• Prepare accurate reports for customers and management
• Proven experience as logistics coordinator
• Experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Ability to work independently  and track multiple processes
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP, NAV, NetSuite)
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven working experience as a warehouse technician or relevant management experience (3 to 5 years' experience)
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Ability to lift heavy objects (+50 US pounds)
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time – (5 to 6 hours)
• High school degree
• BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
