Detailed Description
Description: Field service repairs including hardware and on-site support for Windows and Apple OS laptops, desktop systems, and peripherals within Richardson Independent School District.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and/or lead Break/Fix teams in repair of computers and peripherals
- Service repairs on computers and peripherals including but not limited to Desktops, Laptops, Workstations, & Printers as assigned
- Updating status and work order documents daily in knowledge base and ticketing solution
- Understand HP's ADP guidelines, knowledge needed to adjudicate customer provided damage excuses
- Mentor, support, and lead team in implementing and adhering to successful practices
- Communicating and updating management and customers on repair status
- Daily travel within the school district is required. Mileage paid.
- And other responsibilities as assigned by management
Additional Duties:
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment for incidents, projects and programs
- Assist on any on-site project requested
- Work area upkeep
- Continued education of current and future IT practices
Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years extensive computer repairs
- Good communication skills
- Good organization skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CompTIA A+ Certification with HP, Lenovo and Apple certifications a plus
- Some technical support experience
- Familiarity with printers
- Customer service experience and professional demeanor
- Must be able to track and manage multiple issues
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work without constant supervision
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and good driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
