    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and execution of both the Doc and Funding Department; as well as liaising between Processing, Underwriting, Pricing Desk, Post Closing, and Accounting on a transnational basis.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee and support both Doc and Funding Departments
    • Maintain expert knowledge of all Doc and Funding Functions
    • Maintain expert knowledge of all policies and procedures, along with agency and state guidelines
    • Establish process enhancements where required and provide continuous training to staff
    • Ensure applicable departments are completing the following tasks as well as the ability to complete themselves
    • Preparing and coordinating all final loan documentation for loan closings such as drawing loan documents and engage escrow/title for closing coordination
    • Review all loan documents for correct signatures, notary information, title reports, escrow instructions, etc. and to maintain compliance with federal, state (wet and dry) and agency guidelines
    • Ensure underwriters have signed off on the file prior to doc and/or prior to fund
    • Audit initial application, disclosures and HMDA information for accuracy and completeness
    • Input funding information into Encompass loan system
    • Review CD settlement statement
    • Prepare funding packages for warehouse lenders
    • Set up wire for closing agent/title with funding department
    • Initiate funding requests with warehouse banks and communicate final funding figures to escrow
    • Confirm disbursements and balance loan files
    • Perform other duties may be assigned

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

    • Minimum 5 years of recent experience funding mortgage loans and drawing loan documents
    • Experience using Encompass 360 or other paperless loan system to draw docs and fund

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of funding guidelines and procedures for wet and dry states
    • Strong work ethics, takes initiative and is driven and is flexible enough to adapt to an ever-changing business environment
    • Experienced establishing and implementing procedures and process improvements in a fast-paced business environment
    • Current FHA, VA, Conventional, and Non-QM loan experience, both refinance and purchase
    • Excellent computer, time management and organizational skills
    • Experience with multiple investors and warehouse lines
    • Ability to prioritize work and meet funding deadlines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with Encompass360 loan system is a plus!
