    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer II to support the development and maintenance of a network lab environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, functionality, and scalability of lab infrastructure used for testing and validation activities.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with network hardware, demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Configure, deploy, and maintain network lab infrastructure to support engineering and testing initiatives

    • Integrate new network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls, into the lab environment

    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and break/fix support for network and hardware-related issues

    • Coordinate the delivery, installation, and setup of lab equipment and systems

    • Support switch and network testbeds used for software validation and performance testing

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all lab equipment and assets

    • Provide console access and manage system control modules (SCMs) as needed

    • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure lab readiness and reliability

    • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to support operational excellence

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

    • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in network engineering or lab environments

    • Proven hands-on experience with network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls

    • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:

      • IP addressing (DHCP, SLAAC, Static IP)

      • VLAN configuration and subnetting

    • Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS

    • Familiarity with network management and access protocols, including SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS

    • Working knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, console access, and system modules

    • Basic understanding of power infrastructure, including PSUs, PDUs, and voltage requirements

    • Experience utilizing inventory management systems for asset tracking

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience working within a network lab or testing environment

    • Knowledge of lab safety standards, procedures, and best practices
