As a Network Engineer, will lead in the design, development, and build of the networks using the latest in application centric infrastructure technologies. Will work on a cross functional team consisting of peers, professional services, and supplier partners. Will have knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and hands on experience architecting and building networks. Core knowledge of routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, load balancing, VoIP, VPN's, and gateways. Will design, develop, build, and test network solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies. Will ensure that the solutions are fully documented and in compliance with applicable security requirements for the classification level of the system. Critical skills include strategic planning, project management, systems integration, creating and maintaining documentation, diagrams, and configurations. Candidates must have strong customer service and leadership skills accompanied by excellent written and verbal communication competences.
Required Education and Experience
· Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing carrier/ISP networks.
· Experience must include the following technologies and hardware; MPLS, MPLS TE, MPLS L2VPN\L3VPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Multicast, QOS, Metro Ethernet Services, Cisco ASR, Cisco 7600 Series, Cisco 6500 Series, Cisco Metro Ethernet Platform, Cisco DWDM Platform, Juniper Routers, and Fiber Test equipment.
· Certification: JNCIA and CCNP required. CCIE a plus MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND LIVE WITHIN COMMUTING AREA OF HYATTSVILLE, MARYLAND
