Network Support Engineer Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Support Engineer to join our IT Managed Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our client's network infrastructure. You will work to ensure the stability and reliability of their network, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise, and implement new network technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely support to end users
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and software
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement network solutions
- Provide training and support to end users on network technologies and best practices
- Document network configurations and procedures for future reference
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in network technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network support and administration
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
