Overview

Support Engineer @ Network Optix is responsible for working with the Support, Development, and QA teams to help customers integrate their devices and systems, troubleshooting issues, writing guidelines and FAQs, staying up-to-date on all our products and technologies.

Our customers are partners that work on integrating 3rd party devices and systems powered by our products. We are looking for a person with strong technical skills and developer experience to work more complex Tier 3 issues.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot issues end-users/integrator may have, report them and control solution
• Document feedback from the users “in the field” for Product Management
• Help build test environments for the QA and development teams to recreate issues & ensure they are fixed. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• OS installation
• Administration of Windows, Ubuntu and Mac OS
• Services & Applications Installation
• Development Tools Installation/Configuration
• Log Browsing
• Remote Administration Tools
• Remote Troubleshooting
• Standard Automation methods
• Good understanding of networking (OSI model, TCP/IP stack), important network protocols, ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot network issues
• Understanding of client-server software architecture
• Responsible, responsive, ready to resolve Issues, ability to deal with stress, ability to persuade
• Experience in any scripting programming language (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Optional: Knowledge of the modern multimedia codecs & containers, multimedia transport protocols
• Optional: experience in working with hypervisors (VMware, Virtual Box, etc.)
• Optional: experience in video surveillance and video analytics
• Optional: understanding REST API
