About the Position
This Advanced Practice Provider opportunity focuses primarily on supporting a busy neurosurgery program, with additional opportunities to assist in orthopedic or general surgery cases as needed. The role offers a balanced mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities within a collaborative surgical team.
Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 36 patient care hours and 4 administrative hours per week
Call: Weekend and daytime call rotation in collaboration with the supervising provider
Average Patient Volume: 15–20 patients per day
Team Structure: Work alongside three Advanced Practice Providers in the department
Clinic Days: Typically 2–3 days per week depending on OR schedule
OR Days: Approximately 2 days per week assisting with surgical cases
This position is based at a well-established regional medical center that serves as the primary referral hospital for north-central Idaho and parts of southeastern Washington. The facility offers a full range of surgical and specialty services and has recently invested significantly in facility upgrades, advanced surgical technology, and expanded specialty programs. The hospital is part of a national healthcare organization that partners with community hospitals across the country to strengthen clinical programs, expand access to care, and invest in long-term infrastructure and provider support.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited graduate-level APRN/NP program
Ability to obtain Idaho medical licensure and DEA with full prescriptive authority
First Assist certification not required; operating room responsibilities are supported through hospital privileging and close surgeon collaboration
At least one year of experience preferred

Compensation: Competitive package aligned with MGMA 50th–75th percentile, including wRVU production incentives
