    The Nevada School of the Arts is a community music school 501c(3) serving the greater Las Vegas Community for nearly 40 years. The school is currently recruiting a professional for a Project and Operations Manager (POM) position. The Project and Operations manager will overseer on efficient management of events, oversee the annual development of marketing, and develop promotion strategies for direct solicitation, online giving and social media opportunities.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    OPERATIONS

    Create a balanced, team-oriented working environment for the students, faculty, and staff.

    Build and implement innovative policies and procedures that elevate service and support to students, faculty, external partners, and audiences.

    Establish regular discussions regarding initiatives and possible collaborations with the ED

    Maintain parent and student alumni database

    MARKETING

    Research and develop opportunities for shared services, and resources for enrollment growth

    Assist with fundraising for NSA’s Annual fundraiser Gala

    Develop promotion strategies for direct solicitation, online giving and social media opportunities

    Demonstrate ability and experience with fundraising software, record keeping and donor reporting and organizational software.

    Build Public Awareness and Communication about NSA

    Identify Resources Available to Assist with Fundraising – Board Members, Staff.

    PROJECTS

    Create and execute effective and efficient management of all events

    Oversee the annual development of multi-year master calendar for all performances

    Manage Fundraising Activities and Timelines

    TRAITS & CHARACTERISTICS

    Planning and Organization -The capacity to work within established time frames, optimum productivity with accuracy and efficiency.

    POM should be a result-oriented individual, a clear communicator, an active listener with the ability solve problems, possess effective people skills and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders.. POM will have high aesthetic values and full commitment to arts education.

    Problem Solving and Decision Making – The dexterity to make informed and collaborative decisions in a timely manner.

    Self-Management and Personal Accountability – The competence to prioritize and complete tasks necessary to meet mutually agreed upon expectations and assume responsibility for professional actions.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

    5-8 years of experience in a Non-profit environment, management experience in arts organization.

    A minimum of three years of experience with event management, planning, management, operations, record-keeping and donor reporting.

    Demonstrate experience of standard computer applications, including calendar, database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation systems is essential.

    A positive attitude and good humor in working in a music environment is indispensable.

    Salary range: Salary competitive with similar Non-Profit organizations, plus benefits, health, dental, vision, paid holidays and 2 weeks’ vacation. Opportunities for growing and developing a premier music school in Las Vegas.
