    ** Role Overview**

    As a Business Development Representative at Hurricane Logistics, you’ll focus on lead generation, outbound prospecting, and early-stage sales outreach to help fuel the growth of our brokerage. You’ll identify potential shippers, qualify opportunities, and set the stage for long-term client partnerships. Your ability to connect, communicate, and stay persistent will be key to driving new business into the pipeline.

    ** Key Responsibilities**

    • Proactively source, research, and qualify new shipper leads through outbound calls, emails, and digital outreach
    • Build initial relationships with prospects and clearly communicate Hurricane Logistics’ value proposition
    • Schedule discovery calls and meetings for senior sales and account management teams
    • Maintain accurate prospect and pipeline activities in CRM systems
    • Hit and exceed daily/weekly outreach metrics and monthly opportunity targets
    • Collaborate with sales and operations leaders to align prospecting efforts with market demand
    • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to identify opportunities

    ** Qualifications**

    ** Required:**

    • 1–2 years of sales, business development, cold-calling, or lead generation experience (logistics/3PL preferred but not required)
    • Strong communication skills with a confident, persuasive approach to outreach
    • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable with high-volume prospecting
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and tasks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general tech/computer literacy
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

    ** Preferred:**

    • Experience supporting or selling within a freight brokerage or logistics environment
    • Proven ability to generate qualified leads and book successful meetings
    • Familiarity with transportation pricing, modes, and industry terminology
    • A competitive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
    • Team player who contributes to a positive, driven sales culture
