One of New York's top personal injury law firms is seeking a New Case Specialist. This a full-time, on-site position located in our New York office.
The New Case Specialist is the first point of contact for our clients and plays a key role in providing a welcoming and professional experience. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and firm information
Review newly signed intake documents to ensure all necessary forms are completed and properly signed
Act as the primary representative of the firm by making initial contact with clients, asking questions, listening to client concerns, and obtaining necessary facts to determine the new steps for the case and firm expectations such as necessary correspondences and relevant statutes of limitations
Collect and verify critical information from new and existing clients and callers
Accurately enter all relevant case information into the case management system, following up on any missing data
Ensure all applicable statues of limitations and deadlines are recorded in the case management systems
Confirm that all intake documents and supporting materials are correctly signed, saved, and appropriately named within the case management system
Send and follow up on any missing intake documents, such as no-fault applications, to ensure timely filings and case progression
Timely file applications for no-fault benefits in accordance with New York State regulations
Draft initial case opening documents and correspondence
Report cases to Medicaid and Medicare as required
Coordinate with team members to complete outstanding tasks and follow ups
Uphold professional standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues
Demonstrate adaptability by taking on new tasks and seeking continuous improvement n process
Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge of New York State no-fault and workers' compensation laws and procedures
Ability to read and interpret police reports to extract key information
Compensation: Salary range $22.00 -$26.00 Per Hour
