    Job Description

    IT PROCUREMENT REPRESENTATIVE, IT INDUSTRY - ONSITE HOUSTON, TX 

    New Charter Technologies is seeking an IT Procurement Representative to support our growing organization and client IT needs. The IT Procurement coordinator is responsible for maintaining the IT resources and procurement lifecycle by quoting, invoicing, and triaging requests from clients. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

    • Researching and building business and cost-effective quotes for clients for computer hardware and software
    • Managing renewals of licenses and warranties for computer equipment 
    • Receive and return equipment as necessary 
    • Track products and ensure that all orders are successfully delivered to client locations within deadline and SLA requirements 
    • Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with vendors, clients, and other partners
    • Manage inventory using internal databases and track daily activity internally 
    • Partner with internal team members and service lines to ensure that each client is supported fully through the procurement process
    • Assist with workstation maintenance, password resets and account lock outs 
    • Server, workstation staging, and base build support 
    • Provide support and back up to onsite team for upgrade projects, emergency replacements, and ticket influx as needed
    • Look for ways to continue to build on existing procurement engagements or other relationships to enhance internal processes

    PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • BA in business or equivalent experience preferred
    • A basic knowledge of technical hardware and software (workstations, servers, firewalls, switches, Microsoft licensing) required 
    • Ability to learn sourcing and procurement techniques as well as learning third-party procurement management software
    • Ability to quickly change tasks and focus on priority items
    • Previous experience with purchasing at a technology company a plus
    • A background in technical support is a plus
    • Strong expertise/use of Microsoft Excel required

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: 

    • Local candidates to Houston who can commute regularly in office needed, Hybrid work from home schedule offered
    • Full Time, 40 hours a week 
    • Salary Range is expected to start at $45K annually depending on experience
