    MISSIONNew City Kids’ mission is “loving kids for change to create a community of spiritual, leadership, academic andmusical development.” The program has a two-tiered structure, each tier complementing the other. First,New City Kids operate highly structured academic and performing arts-focused after-school centers five daysa week. But what really makes the After School Center unique is the second tier. Instead of staffing theprogram with paid adults or volunteers, high school students are employed as “Teen Life Interns.” These 450-hour per year internships are designed to open teens’ eyes to their own amazing abilities and to awakenthem to the joy of leadership, the goodness of earning money, the attainability of a college education and thetransforming power of God’s love.POSITION SUMMARYThe New City Kids National Grants Writer will be responsible for the research,development, administration and writing of grants and funding proposals. This position is also responsible for working with internal leaders to complete post-award work and reporting. This role will perform pre-and post- award grants and proposal administration working while maintaining high-level relationships with program and administrative staff at external agencies as well aswith internal New City Kids stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a high degree of self-awareness, reliability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, love for accuracy, a desire to collaborate, knowledge of researching relevant content and a heart for the mission of New City Kids.Accountabilities and Responsibilities Write and submit proposals and accountability reports or project updates that are accurate, timely andcomprehensive, in alignment with the funding sources criterion and mission and that of New City Kids. Maintain and grow the content management system for boilerplate language, data and otherstandardizations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain high level relationships with administrative and program staff at funding agencies, gatheringinformation required to maximize partnership success. Train and provide guidance to New City Kids staff and any contracted staff involved in proposal and reportwriting phases. Establish a routine meeting schedule with staff to ensure all grant and proposal deadlines are met. Responsible for pre-award grants administration project and content researching related to relevantlanguage and pipeline development, which will include using and inputting grant and contract informationinto Salesforce and Sage Intacct Cloud Accounting System.  Develop and gain approvals for grant and proposal budgets. Conduct data entry activities for pre-award grants and post-award reporting functions throughSalesforce. Develop, manage, and maintain timely and accurate audit-ready documentation for each grant andproposal funding source. Draft, review and edit grant agreement and restricted fund pledge acknowledgement letters for properbooking of accounts receivables/deferred revenues in the accounting system. Maintain MOVES management in Salesforce for grants and various proposal funding sources assigned foradministration. All other duties as assigned.Qualifications A strong commitment to and ability to communicate the goals and mission of New City Kids, including apersonal and active Christian commitment, and alignment with our diversity, equity and inclusion policy Bachelor’s degree required. 2+ years of grant writing and reporting experience - both private and government – required Excellentverbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 2+ years of research administration experience 3+ years of technical writing, review, and/or management experience 1+ years working in a nonprofit or educational setting with program or project management skills Strong achievement ability with a proven track record of success A decisive, independent thinker with a strong work ethic and a high level of execution Ability to lead multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines Strong attention to detail Ability to manage, coordinate, and share pertinent information with staff and donors/funders Strong computer literacy and competency required – required experience with Google Suite, MicrosoftWord, PowerPoint and Excel, Adobe Pro, Quickbooks or Sage Intacct or related accounting system, prefersomeone with experience using Salesforce and/or GrantHub.
