    Job Description

    Issuer Processing: Debit Processing Services (DPS), our Issuer Processing platform for North America, processes over half of all Visa Debit transactions and is the largest single prepaid processing platform for Visa prepaid transactions in the U.S. The team also partners with third-party companies outside of the U.S. to deliver value-added services through Visa-owned assets.

    As a Software Engineering Intern you will contribute to a team that develops and manages end-to-end technology solutions for Visa's core business (credit and debit transactions) and key stakeholders or new solutions that promote the growth of digital commerce and mobilization.

    Job duties and responsibilities could include:

    • Your strong technical leadership, problem solving abilities, coding, testing and debugging skills is just a start. You must be dedicated to filling product backlog and delivering production-ready code in 2 week sprints. You must be willing to go beyond the routine and prepared to do a little bit of everything.
    • Support Sr. Developers in their work and take ownership for projects.

    • Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field, graduating January 2021 - August 2022
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited to: C#, .NET, java, J2EE,python, PHP, Ruby on Rails, XML, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Objective-C, OOD, GoLang, Docker
    • Familiar with: JSON, REST APIs, MongoDB, AngularJS, ExpressJS, NodeJS, React
    • Proficiency in SQL, MongoDb
    • The ability to tackle challenges and address problems head-on
    • Strong ability to collaborate
    • Highly driven, inventive and results oriented
    • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
