    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Apprentice is responsible, by observation and practice, for understanding and learning the basic skills, responsibilities, and expertise needed to do all required work as an Electrician, while helping Journeymen and other employees with their tasks and contributing to operations. Over the course of time, the Apprentice's skills will increase, and they will take more ownership of jobs and how they are run, dependent on their abilities. Typical decision-making or problem solving required for this position includes:

    • Deciding on the best methods for visualizing, measuring, and estimating work as appropriate for the job situation
    • Deciding when additional materials are needed in order to complete required work
    • Defining and labeling wires, conduits, and apparatus in order to avoid shock/electrocution
    • Deciding on best routing options for conduit, wires, and other systems
    • Taking steps to ensure maximum safety on the worksite
    • Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assisting newer/fellow Apprentices with orientation and learning
    • Attending Required Meetings
    • Attending Required Safety Training Meetings
    • Attending required training/professional development sessions
    • Committing material on Work Orders
    • Communicating with supervisors for work instructions
    • Controlling inventory on truck, jobsite, and in/out of stock (for active jobs)
    • Completing Timesheets
    • Gathering required material
    • Keeping phone and barcode scanner charged and ready
    • Keeping truck stocked with proper tools and materials
    • Loading materials, lifts, trailers, and other equipment
    • Maintaining Corporate Health & Safety Standards
    • Maintaining Work Order Accuracy
    • Performing field work/installations
    • Performing Vehicle Maintenance
    • Responding to Service Calls
    • Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean
    • Scanning or signing materials in/out of inventory
    • Successfully completing all required learning activities
    • Tracking of materials

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Currently registered as an Electrical Apprentice
    • Valid Driver's License
