    Job Description

    New Empire Industries (NEI) is excited to announce a full-time job position immediately available for its Lincoln manufacturing plant. New Empire Industries is a tier one OEM manufacturer for the firearms industries. The mission of New Empire is to arm the responsible citizen and military. Primary fabrication focus is on the production of gun barrels for a multitude of platforms including the AR 15, AR-10, bolt action rifle, AK, shotgun, and handgun markets. As lead programmer you will have vital input into these processes.

    The direct responsibilities of this position will be to handle programming for various CNC machines; including, but not limited to, Toyoda and Matsura Horizontal Mills. HAAS VMCs. Hardinge, Hyundai, and Doosan CNC Lathes.  Beyond the programming of machines, the Lead Programmer is expected to create all additional support documentation for floor production. Including prints, setup sheets, QC documentation (independently and in collaboration with QC management). Additional responsibilities will include assisting in the design and fabrication of work-holding fixtures, and possible input on periodic maintenance and repair on CNC machinery. This is a fast paced and varied work environment with an excellent crew and workplace culture.  

    APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

    ·         Applicant must be a legal citizen of the USA in good standing.

    ·         Applicant must be able to own/purchase a firearm in the State of Nebraska. (You will not be asked to do so for the company; however, this shows that there is no legal issue for you to handle firearms/firearm componentry within the factory.) Preference for at least 5 years of Fanuc CNC programming experience. Experience with MasterCAM and SolidWorks a plus.

    ·         Experience with lathe machines, especially with twin turret lathes, pinch cutting, y-axis, and live tooling.

    ·         Experience with Horizontal Mill programming preferred. High proficiency in reading engineering blueprints with GD&T dimensioning and using standard measurement and test equipment.

    ·         Strong understanding for QC testing and adherence in a production atmosphere. Ability and willingness to develop machine set-ups, tool offset corrections, basic programming, and inspection.

    ·         PLC knowledge and design

    ·         Prior collaboration with automation/robotics or programming of Fanuc style robots.  

    COMPENSATION: SIGNING BONUS BASED ON EXPERIENCE WITH SPECIAL CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO EXPERIENCE WITH PROGRAMMING OF AUTOMATION/ROBOTICS, Y-AXIS, LIVE TOOLING, TWIN TURRET PINCH CUTTING, AND HORIZONTAL MILL PROGRAMMING.
