Responsibilities: Assist Client Strategy group with both day-to-day operations and special projects. Projects could include: creating or enhancing Excel templates, research oriented assignments, developing tools to assist in fixed income portfolio management, preparing thematic investment / economic / insurance research notes, researching state statutory requirements, preparing client presentation material, running portfolio optimizations and producing client peer comparison reports.
Experience / Skills Desired: • Candidate must possess a desire to work hand-in-hand with our internal technology group to develop and enhance reporting capabilities. • Prior investment management experience a plus, but not required. • General understanding of the capital markets and the desire to learn more about the insurance investment management business. • Candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft office tools and possess a desire to work hand-in-hand with our internal technology group to develop and enhance reporting capabilities.
Qualifications: • Minimum GPA of 3.0 • Must be pursuing a 4 year college degree or higher • Entering junior or senior year of college in Fall 2018, or enrolled in graduate program • Strong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills • Team player and contributor • Organizational ability and attention to detail • High degree of energy / tenacity • Available for full time employment (40 hours) from 6/4/18 to 8/10/18 uninterrupted • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), working knowledge of Bloomberg a plus • General understanding of the capital markets • Desire to learn the insurance investment management business
