    The Provost is the Chief Academic Officer of the College. The Provost is the strategic leader for all matters related to curriculum, instruction, accreditation and academic assessment. This role provides leadership and direction to an academic team comprised of Program Chairs and academic staff. Responsible for providing senior-level leadership toward fulfillment of the College’s Strategic Plan, especially as it relates to the academic domains, but also toward institution-wide strategic goals.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serves at the College’s Chief Academic Officer, and strategizes and leads all planning, development, and implementation of academic programs focused on student learning and in support of the College’s vision, mission and values
    • Determines and provides leadership for academic strategic goals and priorities which respond to the educational needs and expectations of students and ensures compliance and alignment with accreditation and regulatory agencies
    • Defines the vision for relevant, current and rigorous new and existing academic curriculum and directs the ongoing assessment of curricular efficacy and student learning
    • Serves as the College’s Chief Accreditation Liaison and fosters positive and productive relations with the regional accreditation agency and State licensing department
    • Leads all analyses and reporting related to accreditation requirements and regularly partners with the regional accreditor to propose and enact new developments and ensure ongoing adherence to Standards for Accreditation
    • Cultivates innovation in teaching and learning and actively promotes best practices in curriculum design and delivery
    • Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and provides leadership for the College’s Strategic Plan and vision
    • Recruits, hires, supervises and evaluates all academic managers and staff, and determines measurable professional development goals and plans for the academic team. Empowers the strength of the academic division in order to build effective teams that can advance the College’s strategic goals
    • Initiates and determines standards for academic partnerships across the higher education community, and represents the College with businesses, government, regulatory, and other partnerships in the community
    • Engenders a culture of continual faculty development and oversees the evaluation and support of faculty
    • Directs the preparation and responsible stewardship of the academic budget
    • Formulates research related to academic quality, new program concepts and student learning, including comprehensive program review and research on the macro academic environment
    • Promotes and delivers thoughtful innovation and entrepreneurship in order to further the College’s vision of nimble responsiveness to workforce-focused education
    • Approves all academic policies and procedures and ensures a culture that is student-centered, responsive to adult learners, and supports the distinct needs of faculty

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Earned Doctorate degree, or doctorate in steady progress, from an accredited university in education or related field plus a minimum of 12 years of experience
    • Solid professional history of leadership and supervisions of faculty and academic staff to include a minimum of 7 years academic leadership experience of a progressively responsible nature with direct experience as a chief academic officer, as well as experience with teaching and learning
    • A proven understanding, and demonstrated evidence of thought leadership, focused on adult learning
    • Advanced experience in working with regulatory agencies and adhering to all standards as they align with the College’s mission and purposes
    • Demonstrated leadership and experience in curriculum and outcomes-based assessment.
    • Collaborative and entrepreneurial work ethic and leadership style
