    The New Gen Coordinator supports middle school-aged youth. The incumbent will help participants gain knowledge, skills, and be connected to opportunities that build their social capital, increase employability, and sustain independence. The ideal candidate would implement an age-appropriate curriculum, support programming, events, and initiatives that aid participants to seek/obtain employment or gain access to college or other post-secondary education plans.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Perform outreach with key stakeholder groups to include alignment with Career & Technical Education (CTE) & college-readiness

    Research, implement and administer curriculum-based activities/programs (to include workforce and durable skills development) for participants

    Provide support and resources for teaching staff

    Facilitate in-person learning opportunities for program participants which can be in collaboration with other subject-matter deemed service providers

    Assess participant needs and develop individualized plans outlining employment, entrepreneurial and/or personal goals, and other post-academic plans towards independence with student-voice

    Provide ongoing educational assessment and periodic evaluation of planned goals and accomplishments for each participant

    Maintain a variety of reports for internal and external reporting purposes

    Research and apply for grant/funding opportunities to sustain programming

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in education (preferred) or equivalent work experience in youth development (minimum 2 years)

    Knowledgeable of CTE, mental health, and trauma informed care (required)

    Experience in program development to include planning, leading, and managing projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes, and tracking and reporting on progress (required)

    Strong interpersonal communications and mediating skills

    Sensitivity to issues around equity, diversity & inclusion, and relationship building
