POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Staff Accountant for nonprofit mental health center to assist in monthly grant billing, accounts payable’s function, tracking the journal entries, general ledger, revenue reconciliation, work with CFO to audit all revenue and expenses, cost allocations etc.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monthly grant billing, receivables, and other revenue reconciliations
• Knowledge in accounts payable functions
• Knowledge in nonprofit accounting systems.
• Knowledge in Federal and State funded grants, cost allocation principles, match requirements etc.
• To provide support in budget preparation.
• Prepare all required annual audit documentation
• To ensure timely completion of the assigned accounting tasks that are in accordance with the policies
• Knowledge in accounting software, MS Office packages including MS Word and Excel
• Strong ability to communicate, perform multiple tasks, detailed oriented, excellent ability to analyze data
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, audit or tax.
· Three to four years’ experience in accounting.
