• Source new supplier for existing products
• Respond to internal requests for material and concept development
• Assess and ensure product compliance with global regulations, focused on Direct and Indirect Food contact guidelines
• Perform in-depth analysis of technical issues with adhesive substrate compatibility in specific applications
• Design and oversee extensive testing of product performance in applications
• Work directly with quality assurance to evaluate and improve new opportunity testing
• Journal ongoing projects for current and future reference

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Expertise in flexible films
• Expertise in pressure sensitive adhesives and their chemical makeup
• Able to communicate about complex topics in a simple and clear style
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills under pressure
• High comfort level with engaged team problem solving
• Detail and data driven
• Comfortable in a hands-on, do whatever it takes environment

Experience:

• 10 years flexible packaging/pressure sensitive adhesive work experience
• Education: BA/BS or comparable degree or certification in a technical field
