Responsibilities:
Maintain control of daily operational issues in regards to vehicles and drivers. Insure all charters operate as ordered by client.
Duties:
Driver notification of work assignments
Visual check of drivers and vehicles
Maintain daily and monthly operations reports
Accept charters from sister companies and drivers and customers
Discipline driving force
Ensure all charters are manned (new or sick replacements)
Tally outside equipment use
Preparing expense envelope for road trips
Assist maintenance with vehicle info
Co-ordinate exchange of vehicles when defects are discovered with maintenance
Participate in after hours on call service and week dispatching duties
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Previous experience as dispatcher is a plus.
General computer literacy.
Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for customer service.
Must be efficient with strong attention to detail.
Must have strong customer support orientation
Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem solving.
Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment
