Storage Solutions Estimator Designer Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be solely focusing on the Industrial Structures segment of our clients business. The candidate best suited will have industry specific experience, including; quoting platforms, mezzanines, gates, crossovers, accessories. Under general direction of the Director of Engineering, independently develops and executes all IS projects. Effectively creeate an estimate and customized designs to meet order-specific customer requirements. Responsible for completing work on multiple projects with respect for completeness, accuracy and adherence to design standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Storage Solutions Structure Estimator Designer Engineer

· 4-6 years in AutoCad 2D with technical degree

· 4-6 years of experience in steel fabrication/manufacturing environment

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Storage Solutions Estimator Designer Engineer

· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

· Strong background in material handling (shelving, Pallet Rack, Platforms, etc)

· Strong background in Estimating

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Storage Solutions Estimator Designer Engineer

· Detail Orientated, ability to communicate with all customers/dealers, engineering and sales personnel.

· Create a CAD layout of the system and establish the most efficient framing layout within the design parameters.

· Calculate preliminary framing member sizes based off the design loading required for the project.

· Create a proposal and approval drawing for the customer.

· Maintaining and report project status weekly.

· Provides guidance and technical support to sales & dealer/customers for IS projects.

· Communicate and update quote log status.

· Works independently to solve problems, but uses good judgment in seeking guidance where appropriate.
