The New Washington State Bank is looking for a talented Indirect Loan Specialist to add to our team! This position will be responsible for underwriting, processing, administration, and closing of indirect dealer loans. They will work with the Executive Vice President, Business Development Officer (EVPBDO) in order to ensure that all dealer loans are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform analysis of loan papers for approval or decline based on the NWSB lending matrix.
Participate in ongoing skill, compliance, risk management and security training as required for the position and apply knowledge in daily tasks.
Work with operations and IT to maintain and enhance electronic delivery systems for the indirect department.
Stays up to date and is knowledgeable about indirect lending policies, procedures, and online indirect lending systems.
Processes loan documents from dealers to verify accuracy of information provided including personal information of the borrower and accuracy of loan documents.
Communicates with auto dealer contacts by phone and email to establish and maintain a clear communication in a friendly, professional manner. Works with auto dealers to resolve funding delays as soon as possible.
Funds loans via the online system and exports to core system. Maintenances the loan file as required for accuracy to complete the posting of the loan in the core system.
Submits ACH wire transfers to the operational services department or sends checks to pay loan proceeds to dealers.
Completes all tasks in the online system including completing funding notices to dealers, processing adverse action notices, and processing loan documents.
Images loan documents into the core system according to established policies and procedures.
Processes loan postings, performs file maintenance on accounts, and makes other corrections, as necessary.
Accountability
• Responsible for protecting the Bank assets by utilization of NWSB’s lending matrix and lending policies.
• Meeting sales, profitability and underwriting goals and other performance management measures as established.
• Identify any dealer with potential risk/exposure to the bank and proactively notify Management.
• Maintain accurate documentation on all systems regarding contact with dealers.
• Accountable for understanding and applying government laws and regulations and NWSB policies and procedures relating to the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC.

Comfortable with computer programs and willingness to learn in order to excel in use of all systems including core system, CSI, Word, Excel, Loan Platform, CreditQuest and Decision Pro.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, interacting well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and senior management.
Ability to take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision-making. .
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Prior banking experience preferred.
