This position reports directly to the Paint Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining a clean wash bay and storage area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

In an efficient manner, use pressure washer to produce a clean quality finish.

Assist in the preparation process (tacking, masking and hanging parts).

Cleans and maintain wash bay and water storage area

Works with the safety department to assure safe working conditions relative to the washing process to include:

Following fall protection procedures

Reporting of any unsafe conditions to the supervisor or safety department

Disposes of hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA, EPA and DNR.

Inspects own work and if needed, makes corrections. Once the job is finished completes inspection forms.

Works with supervisor to set and maintain weekly wash schedule.

Must be able to operate forklift or have willingness to learn.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to climb on top of equipment and crawl into tight spots.

Ability and willingness to learn in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.

Ability to train in forklift operations.
