Mechanical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONThis person reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for managing the design of refuse equipment from concept to production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Generate design documentation using Solid Works for drawings and Word for specifications.

Prepare and execute characterization test procedures necessary to verify the design and performance of the devices.

Interface with vendors for critical component selection and documentation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum two years hands on experience in mechanical design with mobile industrial.

FEA experience preferred with COSMOS software

Knowledge of fabrication, welding, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical circuit design a plus.

Experience using Solid Works and/or AutoCAD.

Excellent organizational skills handling project level responsibilities.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to analyze complex functions, procedures and problems to find creative, logical and effective solutions.

Ability to understand client needs, identify root causes of problems and implement pragmatic solutions.
