    WEB DEVELOPER

     

    New World Group is seeking a talented Front End web developer (who may dabble in full stack) with a well-rounded development background to join our team. The Web Developer will assist in creating and maintaining websites and web pages by utilizing modern web frameworks reporting to our Head of Digital. This position is IN HOUSE. Please do not apply if you are not in the NY/NJ area. 

     

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

    • A love for custom coding, creating and maintaining pixel perfect, responsive websites and landing pages that look beautiful on the myriad of today's devices: mobile, tablet and desktop, the foundation for great user experiences.
    • Deep understanding and proficiency of HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript/JQuery. 
    • Deep proficiency with CSS 3 to solve interesting web design and user interface experiences.
    • Background and proficiency in creating and maintaining beautiful websites and web pages delivering exceptional user experience.
    • An ability to wear many digital hats and assist in the vast digital territory to serve our client needs.
    • An ability to juggle multiple web projects throughout the day
    • An ability to work with speed jumping right into projects that may have quick turnarounds.

     

    THE FOLLOWING BONUSES, TAKE YOUR PICKS:

    • Working knowledge of the Jamstack: React/Gatsby or the LAMP stack: PHP/MySQL
    • Experience with GSAP GreenSock JavaScript animation
    • Working knowledge of Ajax requests, JSON and RESTful APIs
    • Understanding of the Headless CMS integrations
    • Experience using source control system such as GIT
    • Familiarity with basic Wordpress functionality
    • Working knowledge of NPM libraries and CSS preprocessors such as Sass.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of web usability best practices
    • Experience caring for the technical needs of sites, apps and integrations with daily traffic
    • Experience working as part of a team

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible to assist in building, maintaining, and scaling many client websites and landing pages.
    • Communicating and collaborating on potential UX/UI design challenges for web
    • Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest web trends to ensure web designs remain relevant and best-in-class
    • Highly energetic and ambitious. 
    • Work collaboratively to continuously improve quality and content of websites
    • Open to learning, and seek the empowering solutions for unfamiliar design and technical challenges.
