  • Responsibilities

     

     

    SUMMARY:  Prepares quality plans, test plans and administers quality systems and programs. Audits quality systems, manufacturing processes and products and performs process capability (SPC) studies and experiments. Performs testing and inspections and conducts quality studies and analyses.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepares product and component quality plans, conducts repeatability and reproducibility studies, and performs reliability testing and forensic analysis when required. 
    • Administers quality information systems and supplier management programs.
    • Participates on new product development teams.
    • Supports engineering on projects and conducts engineering document reviews.
    • Facilitates, reports and assists with root cause failure analysis.
    • Coordinates, facilitates and performs destructive testing.
    • Follows up on customer complaint corrective actions and subsequent preventive actions.
    • Working with Technical Services, may be required to visit customer sites perform rework activities and provide field report findings. 
    • Reviews supplier corrective action submissions and ensures corrective action closure.
    • Audits quality systems, manufacturing process, and products.
    • Conducts and prepares reports for material review boards.
    • Implements statistical process control applications.
    • Performs mechanical, electrical, and physical testing or inspections. Inspects and reports on materials, processes and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments for performance of mechanical, electrical or physical testing to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards.
    • Have experience using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Trains production floor staff in quality techniques.
    • Will assist with returns analysis and processing. 
    • As directed, performs process capability studies and experiments.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Candidate should possess a minimum two years of quality related experience or a current ASQ Quality Technician Certification (QTC) and a minimum of four years of quality related experience.
    • Ability to travel up to 20%

    EDUCATION:

    • Associates Degree in Industrial Technology

    PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

    • ASQ Quality Technician Certification

  • Qualifications

    • Advanced working knowledge of rack systems, single systems, walk-in units, and display cases • Advanced knowledge of commercial ice machines, HVAC, refrigeration, gas furnaces and electrical functions • Advanced understanding of EMS systems • Advanced knowledge of the principles of supermarket psychrometrics and its effect on refrigerated fixtures • EPA Certification • Advanced troubleshooting ability and mechanical skills • Ability to lift up to 40lbs and climb on rooftops • Be available to run night time, weekend, and holiday emergency service calls • Listen and comprehend written and oral instructions • Good communications skills and good driving record • Customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
