We are seeking a NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Licensed Elevator Inspector to join our team. In this role your primary responsibilities will include to conduct periodic inspections and witness CAT 1 and CAT 5 elevator tests throughout New York City.

Responsibilities

Witness CAT 1, CAT 5 elevator testing and perform periodic elevator inspections

Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records in agency system

Sign off on the tests and inspections you completed in DOB NOW

Maintain required licenses and certifications

Requirements

Valid and active NYC Department of Buildings Elevator Inspector's License

Valid and active New York State Department of Labor Elevator Inspector License

Working knowledge of ASME A17.1, A17.2, A18.1, and NYC Building Code Chapter 30

Ability to climb ladders, access machine rooms, and work in confined spaces

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Valid driver's license and means to travel to job site within the five boroughs
