    POSITION TITLE:                                  Technician, Robotics (Pin Dot)

     

    PAY STATUS:                                       Non-Exempt

     

    DEPARTMENT:                                    Operations

     

    POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:

                   Supervised by:                   Supervisor, Manufacturing

                   Supervises:                         N/A

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Perform all robot programming
    2. Perform routine periodic checks of product quality (visual inspection, integrity tests)
    3. Troubleshoot failures to determine root cause and proper corrective action
    4. Operate robot (load/unload) as needed
    5. Work with maintenance to insure that proper PM is performed
    6. Collect robot performance data as required
    7. Train robot operators in proper processes and quality check
    8. Use of formal problem solving procedures
    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
    1. Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
    2. Knowledge of robotics programming and ability to program in-house systems
    3. Ability to use destructive testing tools
    4. Demonstrated understanding of quality systems (SPC, etc.)
    5. Excellent problem solving skills required
    6. Ability to stand 8 - 10 hours
    7. Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
    8. Ability to work a staggered shift or second shift
    9. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    10. Ability to understand work instructions or MP sheets
    11. CAD / CAM experience preferred
    12. Demonstrated ability to diagnose weld defects and make necessary adjustments
    13. Flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed
    14. Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills
    15. Ability to be cross trained
    16. Ability to work well in a team environment
