  • Responsibilities
    • Coordinates and manages local, as well the regional resources for all Global Applications (Strategic Initiatives and Applications Integration – SOA).
    • Together with the ‘Service Delivery Management’ and ‘User support’ teams in Infrastructure services, work with the ‘Strategic Initiatives’ and ‘Applications integration’ teams to establish the ‘move to production’ capabilities (documentation, computing services, support, service level requirements) required for the successful implementation of business applications projects. Manage the ‘move to production’ process for new of changed applications.
    • For these business applications in production mode, maintain operational health and continuity (proactive monitoring and resolution of all production parameters, response time, file space, database performance, service level monitoring).
    • Manage the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) process for business applications availability, reliability and performance.
    • Establish, document and monitor the applications production process (job scheduling).
    • Establish, document and monitor applications performance management (data base health, performance).
    • Establish, document and monitor Service Level Agreement (SLA).
    • Provide second level support for applications.
    • Responsible for leading ‘technical stack’ projects ensuring that applications stay at the required version level.
    • Coordinate the user testing process.
    • Participate with the Service Management team in Disaster Recovery testing.
    • Ensure that all required training is identified for and completed by all direct reports.
    • Evaluate staffing needs and costs; identifies, hires and promotes individuals with the right skills and competencies necessary to achieve superior results.
    • Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree.
    • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience of successful operations management
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ supporting Oracle portfolio applications
    • Project management discipline. Project Management Professional certification a plus
    • Knowledge of Oracle portfolio products in particular EBS and integration products
    • Automated job scheduling and monitoring tools
    • Knowledge of current applications architecture
    • Strong service orientation (towards users, customers and partners). Familiarity with ITIL (service management) framework and processes a plus
    • Strong process orientation

    • Ability to work effectively across regional environments
    • Track record in people and project management
    • Track record in business applications operations (Oracle)
