    Senior Centers in the NewCourtland Network OFFER A WIDE-RANGE OF SERVICES AT LITTLE OR NO COST TO ITS MEMBERS.  Closely following the vision of NewCourtland, the mission of each Center is “to advance the well-being and personal growth of all persons age 55 and older in Greater Philadelphia by connecting them to services & resources to learn, grow and discover new ways to be actively engaged in living.”

    With a well-trained, compassionate staff and focused programming for a diverse audience, the NewCourtland Senior Centers keep thousands of seniors active and independent in their homes and communities every year.

    The responsibilities of this position include enhancing the quality of life of our senior housing residents by determining their needs, providing access to the entire service system, and ensuring effective and coordinated service to each individual client. The Service Coordinator Facilitates senior participation in programs that enhance their physical, social and mental well-being.

    Service coordination is provided to residents of senior housing owned, operated and/or managed by the NewCourtland Network (NC).  It is also provided to seniors residing in housing with which NewCourtland has contracts to provide service coordination.

    Required Skills

    A Bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or a related field, as well as experience in the aging or human service system is preferred.  A combination of education and experience that results in knowledge of the human service system and experience working with older adults and persons with disabilities is essential.
