Data Manager, Academic Program Policy - DML
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Market Manager, Public Relations will lead the development of public relations strategies for Del Monte Fresh Produce, N.A.. Inc, North American brands - Del Monte® and our proprietary brands (primarily Mann’s®), in support of the organization’s mission and business goals. This role manages external agencies/contractors, overseeing day-to-day media relations activities that bring the story of Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. brands to life for consumers and customers across North American media and thought leadership channels.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the creation of public relations strategy and oversee the development of media relations and thought leadership content for Del Monte®, Mann’s® and other Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. brands available to customers or consumers in North America as required
Establish and cultivate meaningful relationships with national, local & trade media
Engage with Brand Managers to understand brand strategies and ensure activities support agreed brand activation plans
Engage with Social Media Coordinator to ensure PR activities align with tactical social media activities
In line with brand activation plans, engage with the Marketing, Sales, Operations and other key departments to ensure consistent external communications across channels
Identify and prepare appropriate spokespeople for external communication, and serve as a spokesperson when appropriate
Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure all public relations activity abides by applicable laws and guidelines (FTC, FCC, etc.) and is within the bounds of the Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. privacy policy
Establish KPIs to measure progress towards goals and report on PR activities
Identify, establish contracts with, and oversee the work of third-party vendors, contractors and agencies
Monitor public relations budget
Oversee the development and dissemination of talking points, press releases/kits, media advisories and briefing documents
Develop actionable insights from key PR outreach and activities to inform business strategy and decisions
Stay abreast of competitive landscape and public relations & media relations best practices and keep appropriate internal stakeholders updated
Support VP, Corporate Communications in establishing effective crisis communications procedures, coordinating crisis responses as required
