    POSITION: LEAD BILLING SPECIALIST LOCATION: LIBERTYVILLE, IL SALARY: $22.18 - $25.33/HOUR JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing complex work assuring customers are billed in compliance with Lake County rate ordinances and department policies

    Becoming a Lead Billing Specialist would allow you to be involved with the Public Works department by providing a supportive leadership role facilitating various billing, customer service, and administrative activities. Your day will consist of answering correspondence and telephone inquiries and provide information to customers on their water and/or sewer accounts. You will also use reporting tools to analyze water usage and billing data and create reports as requested by department staff for compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.

     

    In order to be successful in this role you should have an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) to three (3) years’ related experience. The candidate should be able to effectively handle difficult and/or sensitive situations while maintaining exemplary customer service; and demonstrate strong collaborative and leadership skills in a team centered and changing environment.  The candidate must also exhibit strong detailed/analytical, technology, organizational, and time management/prioritization skills.
