Contract Specialist, Central Office Procurement

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Lead Procurement Analyst, Central Office Procurement, with latitude for independent initiative and decision-making, the Contract Specialist, Central Office Procurement (COP) will write, analyze, and review solicitations, source selection plans, acquisition plans, contract types, and supporting documentation for the COP office. The Contract Specialist is responsible for all facets of the contracting process, from developing user specifications with clients through and including vendor negotiations and formalizing commercial agreements. The Contract Specialist performs key functions in formalizing contracts. Duties include creating quality control reviews, contract analysis, and conducting vendor outreach. Performs related work.
REPORTS TO: Lead Procurement Analyst, Central Office Procurement
DIRECT REPORTS: Temporary support staff as needed
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Works closely with Central Office Procurement (COP) team, DCP teams, DOE Central offices, Mayor’s Office of Contract Services (MOCS), NYC Comptroller’s Office, DOE vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders.

SALARY: $51,132+
(Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not make less than their current salary.)
