The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communications skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients • Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals • Serve as an attentive listener when communicating with new and potential clients in order to accurately identify their unique needs prior to pursuing specific insurance sales • Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited, to cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met Qualifications: • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree a plus • Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license Compensation: $48,000 at plan
